Brain science is one of the most fertile areas that we, as practitioners, have right now to help our patients . . .
. . . from improving relationships, to strengthening focus, and turning negative experiences into positive ones, the benefits of brain change are astounding.
And better yet, the pool of knowledge about neuroplasticity is growing every day – which means so many more life-changing discoveries are yet to come.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard from world-renowned brain science experts, and each and every one of them had valuable suggestions for keeping the brain in top shape.
Techniques and ideas that experts like Rick Hanson, Phd, Dan Siegel, MD, and Helen Fisher, PhD talked about during the series can be used right now, to strengthen the brain, and enhance your clients’ lives in ways they may not have thought possible.
Just seeing how many people tuned in to watch the series, and how many countries were represented, gives me so much hope that brain science has begun to transform lives (and practices) around the world.

Let me just say a word about this data.
Using Google Analytics, we have done our best to rule out the possibility that someone would be counted more than once.
That means, if you watched more than one of the webinars (which I hope you did), our intention was to count you only once.
One other point – this data only counts the people who showed up to watch the webinars, it isn’t a reflection of sign-ups.
So if you weren’t able to tune in to watch the Practical Brain Science series, you can still get every webinar (complete with downloadable audio and video recordings, transcripts, and learning tools) when you sign up here.
But, if you were able to join us for the brain series, what stuck with you? How will you be applying the techniques the experts talked about in your life and work?
I’m excited to hear how you plan to use the ideas presented in the webinars, so please leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

I paid for the gold membership a month or 2 ago and cannot find out where to login or how to access the webinars. I also need a receipt for the payment (I know I paid as it is on my credit card statement) for my bookkeeper. I have seached this website and cannot find any access or info on how to access the webinars – how frustrating. I know the first email you sent after I purchased it had the instructions and I thought I saved it but now cant find it.
Help!!

I love your series and have paid up for one gold membership but hesitated before spending it each year. I’m sure you’ve done the maths on it but with all those viewers surely there’s a sweet spot where you could offer it more affordably and more people would buy? After all in clinical practice there are many who are not earning a fortune. I’m doing a placement (non earning) and paying out of pocket for supervision – yet I want the most up to date material…
Also – why all the tags for an email like this? There is so much data to look through and by tagging an email about viewers to subscribers “brain health, neuroplasticity” etc it adds to the field unnecessarily.
Finally, all your emails are “teasers”. I don’t mind that they redirect but that it’s almost always a “secret” what I find. Who that is already a fully signed up cheering member of your group has the time for teasers? And when I decide “yes! I am interested in what Jack Kornfield says about the something or other” I have to fill in my name and email again? Surely your admin could be more streamlined with this stuff.
Otherwise, Seriously you guys are a go to source for so much amazing material it feels a shame to make getting at it harder than necessary.
Larry Tirino - Ecuador says
Yes, thank you for this series. I mostly use it to keep abreast of the field. Ive downloaded some of the books by the presenters to get a more in depth explanation of their research.
I am working in Ecuador as a chiropractor and have registered my academic degrees with the Dept of Education and the Dept of health which affords me the professional title of a psychologist within the country.
It is of great interest to me that 55 people within the country were viewing this series. Perhaps this posting will serve as an impetus for contact with some of these professionals and can lead to the formation of a local network of practioners.
Once again, thanks for a great series.

Wonderfully informative series & great speakers, Ruth. I am even more excited about my new career development of OT & Wellness, with specific focus on mindfulness and neuroplasticity, that I envisioned many months ago, after watching this series. So wonderful to see that these two areas are inextricably intertwined. My ideas are starting to come to fruition, in making appropriate contacts in the integrative health world and putting out to the universe what I have envisioned, then surrendering it to God, regarding the details of my career evolution. Your neuroplasticity series was so incredibly timely!! Synchronicity, I believe!! Also Hope & Faith!
Nina, Life Coach, Los Angeles, CA says
Dear Ruth,
I appreciated all the sessions on the brain especially the Epigenetics by Lipton. As someone with knowledge of molecular genetics, it’s fascinating to note that those who talked about nurture vs nature had something! We are NOT only our genes but we can influence our experience of life by our perceptions, beliefs and concepts! How amazing is this! I am now more aware of my thoughts, feelings and responses to my environment. Knowing that I have more influence on my quality of life and not only my genes is a true liberation. Imagine harnessing the gifts from both in one’s daily life!
Again, deepest gratitude and appreciation to you for creating this forum and gifting to so many.
Thank you.

Ruth,
I am grateful that I got a chance to participate . It has opened new horizons for me to learn and grow and definitely inspirational.
Thank you .
Dan Hatch, Retired UCC Min, Mill Valley, CA says
I am using the new ideas to help “re-package” divinity for the 21st Century. If “God” is an ever expanding energy field of LOVE, and we are made in the image of “God” (i.e. of the essence of the Divine, i am working on the notion of interface of Divine Energy, and the evolution of human power during our life-time. As part of that process I am concerned with the transformation of Christian churches from institutions of religion, into communities of faith nurturers.
On a more pragmatic level I am working with my 13 year old grand daughter to help her maximize the potential of her evolving adolescent brain using knowledge acquired from Dan Siegel.
Marta F. Nieves, retired/human and organizational Development consultant pt time Bellevue, NE USA says
Wow, great to see the global participation. This will definitely, in my opinion, make a great difference in the wellbeing of the world’s population. I can envision a ripple effect that will trigger positive behaviors that will in turn result in a leap forward for many human beings. Today’s bonus with Dr. John Arden (Brain Bible author) was enlightening and affirming for me. Ruth, I appreciated the insightful questions that you asked to help us better connect with the concepts shared by Dr. Arden. I found specific examples in each of the areas, exercises mental and physical, the impact of diet and the social aspects especially as we grow older. Especially the loneliness factor. I have seen the results of this with the spouses of folks in nursing homes. The less education, outside the home activities and varied interests and self sufficiency the more withdrawn, lost and depressed they are.
Thank you for this very practical and actionable information.
Sasha Retired OD Consultant austin texas says
the series has been very informative. each one for different reasons. debriefs good also. thanks for doing it. the price of the gold package is prohibitive for me, but webinars great.
Rosalie Lamb, Anat Baniel Method Practitioner says
As an Anat Baniel Method Practitioner I am constantly working with neuroplasticity. I found this series exciting and informative. Thank you so much! I hope to hear Anat Baniel contribute her perspective in your future series. Thanks again, I look forward to your next series!
keri Reyburn, psychologist, VA says
I wish that you would not charge to much for the gold series. It appears to be useful info but not all of us are able to attend the webinar at that time. since it is presented for free, I don’t understand why you don’t make the videos available for free or at least the transcripts.
Johanna, music therapist, Germany says
Thank you Ruth for providing such high quality learning material, it was great!!! I also highly appreciated the repeat on thursdays at an earlier hour because of the time difference, as I often almost fell asleep on the wednesday sessions even though the interviews were so interesting. Once again, thank you!

I´m from Mexico, I´m really enjoying and learning about the brain, how it works and how can I help my patients to become a happiest person and also help me practice my english-
Dr. Clare Ten Eyck, Licenced Professional Counselor, Rapid City SD says
I thought this was a phenominal webinar in which I learned so very much. I greatly regretted the sessions I missed and that at this time I cannot sign up for a gold membership. I work at a youth corrections facility. I have used what I learned to educate other staff as well as in helping the youth. I also give Christian retreats. Much of the information supports what I do in that realm and I have used the information there as well. Thank you for this very exciting, informal and useful webinar.

This has been a wonderful series connecting mind body. Emotions play a big part in back pain. My busiest year we the year of the stock market crash in ’88 when investment bankers ans stock brokers flowed into my office. So stressed on some it was next to impossible to give them an adjustment. I have now incorporated reccomending meditation in my practice. And some patients are incorporating this into their life.
Brock Hansen, LICSW Washington, DC says
I will begin teaching a class on Emotional Fitness at OLLI-DC this week. It is an open university for retired folk. I will be curious to see how an audience mostly over 70 responds to this material. Since I am approaching 70 myself, I can report that I have found the techniques from Elisha Goldstein and Rick Hanson helpful in toning down irritability by noticing it, accepting it, then bringing in patience, compassion, humor, and loving feelings to balance the urgency of my impatience or agitation.
keri Reyburn, psychologist, VA says
where will you be teaching?
Judith Fine-Sarchielli, Marketing Coach LA, CA says
So honored to have participated. Lets have more! Thankful beyond words to you and all the presenters.

I am interested in strengthening focus ability and short term memory. Do you have CDs or DVDs to purchase? I have internet access through my land-line phone and access to video clips is too slow to watch effectively online. I’m wondering if I can purchase the specifically needed information in a form I can use. Thank you.
