And if you haven’t had a chance to take a look at our new series on Practical Brain Science, here’s the link where you can check it out.
What was your biggest takeaway from our webinar with Helen Fisher, PhD? Please let us know in the comments section below.
Gabrielle Turner Hypnotherapist and Occupational Therapist Doha,Qatar says
Hi I was listening from Qatar. We’re there any more from this region? I’ve been passing on the links as the information is so useful and so well presented. Unfortunately it was at 1am for me so I’ve now signed up for the gold membership so I can listen at a more convenient time. All the extra material is also very helpful. Thanks so much
Rose Marie Le Poudre, MSW, RSW, counsellor, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada says
I notice Canada wasn’t mentioned. I am sure that many people listened here as 3 of us in the clinic in Saskatoon did.
Kim T. says
Thanks Rose Marie – you beat me to it!! Hate to see Canada overlooked 🙂

We are enjoying the series very much! It is very interesting and very validating information to share with clients. I appreciate that this work is communicated in a way that is accessible to clients.

I listen to the webinars whenever it’s possible for me. But living in Norway, 11 pm is a late hour to start listening. I almost always have to skip the talkback sessions because it’s too late.
I think you could get so much more interest from Europe if you’d schedule the replay at another time of the day. The best would be to have two replays, to really cover as many time zones as possible. So much important work is going on in the US and you are also really pioneers in webinars. I really appreciate that work, and would like to spread it to friends and family. But most people think it’s too late in the evening, and won’t even check it out.
Sidonie Grace, Language teacher, Paris, France says
Very glad I managed to watch the webinar, found the talk back valuable and complementary… Heartwarming, eye-opening and excellent food for thought! Yes, I totally agree with the 24hrs deadline. It would be very much appreciated. Kudos for your great work, Ruth!!!
Dawn Baker, Psychologist - retired, Brisbane Australia says
Ruth, just as you listed all the US states, perhaps you could list we nonUSA countries, including our numbers? 😉
Garry -Social Worker/CBT-Lancashire, England says
Hello Ruth,
I found the whole talk by HF fascinating and so informative and transferrable information to clinical practice.
I love tuning in to them although by the time i get round to watching it’s usually 11:30 pm but well worth the late night!!!
Thank you so much for sharing on a free basis.
I will subscribe to the Gold membership at some stage as i would like the transcripts from each etc and to be able to view ones i’ve missed.
Best Wishes.
Garry

I have listened to three of your webinars and found them outstanding. I have been struggling to recover from a head injury for the past 1 1/2 years. I am encouraged about the possibility that if I keep working at it, I may get back to normal someday.
I had an mTBI 20 years ago and my doctors said I was as good as I was going to get after 6 months and I needed to find a new profession. I found that not to be true. I continued on my own with my cognitive therapy and I found certain nutrients that science is just now starting to recognize as beneficial. It took a few years, but I did get almost completely back to normal.
My recovery is harder this time, but I’m very much encouraged by the information in your webinar. The brain is an amazing organ!
I think your audience and sales would multiply greatly if you would make the webinar available for 24 hours as many other webinars do. In my state they run at 2 PM and 8 AM. Most people are working at those times. You also have no way to pause or rewind the broadcast in case there is an unavoidable interruption or for people like me who have trouble focusing and concentrating.
Even though my budget is too tight right now, I am encouraging my friends and family to purchase and listen to your program as I’m sure everyone can benefit.
Thank you!

Dear Ruth
I´m so sorry I can´t download or become a gold member for now. Being unemployed and going to a therapist to deal with my depression, well I can´t take advantage of this good offer of yours it´s simply outside of my budget. But I do think these seminars are great, just when I miss them, well that is it. wish you all the best. Seems I am the only Icelander on line attending the webinars, when I don´t miss them. 🙂
love Thordis.

Thank you Ruth,
Every wednesday I’m looking forward to the show as if I was going to a lecture!
And I could feel so much with what Kelly Mc.Gonial said about touching. For a while I went to Japan,
and even not giving a hand, because everyone was bowing, felt as a lack of touch. but then I noticed that with backpain, neckpain etc. everyone was willing to give me a little massage and everyone was good at it !!! So, the Japanese people found a very good way for the lack of the physical touch.
Meg, Counsellor, Australia says
After a few computer hiccups I was able to tune in at 8am local time. Thank you for making these webinars available for free…so amazing to receive such research in an understandable format in my own home. Yes, I’d also appreciate a 24 hour access since the gold membership is also out of reach in my semi-retired situation. The info re antidepressants in the recovery from ‘lost love’ process was particularly helpful. Ruth’s questions and facilitation are very useful. Thank you!
ann helmstetter says
Thanks so much for making the webinar available. As a retired teacher from NJ, I can sit in my kiitchen in Ireland and be re educated. I just love these sessions they are life giving! The best to you .
Virgilio Chavez, Psychotherapist/Mexico says
Big thanks for your making available to people around the world such valuable and useful information. I am curious to see how many people from Mexico watch or listen these webinars.
Ruth Buczynski, PhD says
Hi Virgilio, there were 70 people from Mexico participating in the broadcast this week.
Anne Krause, RN, Los Angeles says
Too bad we daytime working folks out here on the West Coast were unable to tune in due to the inconvenient air times offerred … IS RUTH LISTENING??
Ruth Buczynski, PhD says
Anne, as you can see, there were more than 1,000 people from California tuning in to the broadcast this week. Many of them were working folks, just like you.
Anne Krause, RN, Los Angeles says
If they were able to tune in, then they obviously were NOT working …
Just 1 mom, Canada says
@ Debbie … Funny I really appreciate the emails – especially helpful are the reminders before the free (and amazing!!!) webinars for those of us with adhd!! The rest are short & sweet & easy to delete…lol
Joan Goldstein, Meditation Teacher, NYC,NY says
Fantastic news! Who knows, at the rate people are showing up, we may even reach morphic resonance and see the promised leap in consciousness sweep the human population before 2015 arrives! Thanks for all you’re doing to bring this information to people who wouldn’t normally be open to it. It’s being presented so intelligently and so clearly, I feel that it will open doors to people who never would have come upon these teachings.
Isabelle Florysiak, photographer, UK says
Just to say many thanks for such an opportunity to learn about the brain, I knew that our moods depended on chemical balance in the brain, but never took the time to explore about it….Since, i have gone to do some further research on the Internet, about the type of food which would enhance your dopamine levels and to take it further….Many thanks for opening us to new horizons, as I would probably not have had the idea to investigate about the brain. Explanations were very clear, and having different teachers, repeating it in a different way, summarizing what Helen Fisher had said iwas smashing idea to enable us to digest and absorb the lecture, so that it does sink in. I am looking forward to the next video and learn further…Many thanks to all at Hay House. Isabelle

I have an in-love story that confirms last weeks seminar about how addictive being in-love can be. My first boy friend looked me up after 45 years. We are both 66 and we are getting married this Friday. It feels like we are 19 again and the juices are flowing, thanks to HRT with bio identical hormones. Anyway, there is no better addiction than to be in love again. He was and is the only love of my life and we are having a ball. Thanks for sharing these delightful seminars.

I notice how few people from europe listen in. The time difference makes it very difficult for people in Spain to tune in at the time of the broadcast. Would it not be possible to have a 24hr catch up so we could benefit from these, no doubt, excellent webinars? Best regards.
Terry says
I strongly agree with Eduardo’s comment. I am in Kenya where it is also very difficult to listen. 24 hours seems like a reasonable time.
Lisa, middle-school teacher, reflexology therapist, Zurich Switzerland says
I totally agree with Eduardo! I have the same problem catching up on the webinars within the 24hour period. I also find the gold membership webinar sadly out of my price category.

Elaine, emotions are the pathway to our deep feelings. They are reaction, no action.
Karen, mom, mktg comm, MN says
Insightful & inspiring webinars … Highly intellectual yet warm & caring. This is the future of medicine. You are wonderful! Love the format with talk-back at the end as they reiterate & reinforce key concepts (often with added perspective). This is possibly my most easily forwardable info because you appeal so much to the left-brain world yet are bringing in new creative and more conscious concepts using technical language that resonates with cephalic-oriented folks (most of the population) AND heart-oriented (your warmth & caring) at the same time! Thank you!!!
Linda, retired scientist, Lyme CT says
I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and was curious to know if research was being done on the relationship between PD and dopamine-dependent systems.
Elaine Dolan says
Reconsidered, anti-depressants flatten or nullify emotions! This would alter our abilities to make accurate or meaningful decisions. It’s as if having emotions is BAD…though they function to keep us informed about our environs, drugs make us dull to their significance. Isn’t that cutting out our executive function, so someone else has control. Needless to say I object, and saw this all along.
Choosing to be told how to feel could be the worst medical manipulation yet. Now we’re epigenetically drugged in utero and at birth…then told we are not well regulated or suffer from perpetrated deficits….which require us to take more drugs in order to fit in with the herd. No thanks.

Another very useful lecture- I found info about love as addiction which can be de-wonderfulised when spurned to be very interesting. I learned how anti depressants can in long term use harm our love/sex
system. Use of Affirmations as aid to recovery was useful point. I am surprised that speakers don’t seem to utilise each other’s ideas though. Amen lecture claimed that sugar highs reduce Testosterone 25%. I wonder if there is general agreement on that. Fisher’s claim that our hormones influence our personality types is also fascinating.
Donna Zarnstorff Spencerport NY says
This was the first webinar I have watched. I found it fascinating, especially about the correlation of romantic love to addiction. The information was presented so that a layperson could easily understand. Thank you!
C.Ardoin, Ph.D, USA says
Ruth, I was not able to listen to the last webinar. I would like to say something, however. I have purchased two seminars in the past and I’m not sure if I will be able to purchase this one this time. I make a huge effort to control input to my inbox and I do appreciate all of your email reminders and information. I will be purchasing in the future because I think more than anything I’ve seen on the Internet, your work is the most up to date and useful for me. Many thanks! Cassandra A. Ph.d.

I love your website and appreciate how much you do but I have seriously considered unsubscribing because you send too many emails and it starts to feel like advertising and flooding instead of helping.
Thanks
