Dan Siegel, MDDan Siegel, MD, is a professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine and the Executive Director of the Mindsight Institute. He has also done extensive research focusing on attachment theory and child development. Dan coined the term “mindsight” to describe the human capacity to perceive the mind, and he teaches this skill as a method of breaking habitual responses, deepening interpersonal relationships, and processing difficult emotions. He has written numerous books, including Mindsight: The New Science of Personal Transformation and The Power of Showing Up: How Parental Presence Shapes Who Our Kids Become and How Their Brains Get Wired. |
