I will be a better person to myself and others. I would be better professional because I would invest in my carrear. I would be a better mother because I would accept I can fail. I would be more satisfied with me and my live.
Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to share this, my daughter is 10yo and so fearful of everything she will not move from her comfort zone and often gets so stuck its so painful she wishes she did not have to live and be herself. Even with therapy for years we have got no where. In less than 10min you have given me a great tool to try with her and look deeper at my own self
Without fear I would travel and broaden my experiences

Tara, From other talks and meditations I have followed with you I have been practicing “real but not true” and it has had an invaluable effect on challenging my anxiety and beliefs. Thank you
Thank you for sharing the three step process in the last lecture. I am now meditating on the powerful question, who would I be if I didn’t believe something was wrong with me. Looking forward to the course, thank you Tara
I am so busy. I listened to the three parts in a row. I listened to you for the first time in Dr. Rick Hanson’s program. I feel so grateful right now . You’re so giving . I feel fearful most of the time and I know that I’ve had unresolved griefs and trauma from nearly childhood. You’re the first Professional who could explain fear and anxiety, bit by bit, pièces by pièces. Thanks so much for the yeachings. I’m looking foreward to having a fearless heart and help clients in the meantime,
The phrase “Real, but not true” is so powerful. When I first discovered your teachings last spring through NICABM, I had many negative voices in my head and your repeated affirmations of the concept that they were only thoughts passing through helped a lot, but the distillation of that concept into these four words helps even more. I feel very fortunate that the latest step in the reduction of my psych meds over the last 2 years under my psychiatrist’s guidance has shifted my inner landscape into general happiness and contentment. The voices have much less sway, but when they do pass by, I will use this powerful statement.
I appreciated the videos very much – both for myself and my patients.
I struggled with answering the question: Who would I be without fear?…
Removing the fear that “makes me feel smaller” would lead me to share my voice more often in meetings; I would be friendlier to the stranger in the elevator; I would be more comfortable saying ‘no’ and protecting my limits. I would have more intimacy with my friends and family if I were not fearful of rejection or conflict.
But at the same time, it is hard not to be grateful to the fear of failure that drove me to study hard that allowed me to be in my field of work. Fear can also be a powerful motivator. While this is perhaps not the fear you are speaking to, fear can lead to benefits, not just costs..
who would i be if i stopped believing there was something wrong with me? i would be freely loving and able to freely accept love. i would uncover the soul the universe knows me to be. i would discover what it is i have worked so hard to avoid feeling…
thanks so much tara and nicabm for these short videos – packed with relevant nuggets. little gems that hold so much…
Tara I loved this final video, because it brings hope to those of us who suffer from deep trauma, limiting beliefs, judgements, insecurities that plague our lives.
I really like that question “Who would you be if you didn’t believe something was wrong with you?” It’s like the powerful use of imagination needed to answer cuts through the deeper self-limiting beliefs.
Wonderful video.
Being present to our conditioned responses and (all) the looping requires practice with simple enough techniques to integrate.
