I would not be afraid to take a leadership role in a profession I am passionate about and have worked in all my working life. I am now in my sixties. These small videos are wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing them with us!
My first thought was of a literal Who, a friend I’ve not seen for maybe 5 years but as I have warm, love and respect for this friend this made me smile and feel happy. Subsequently I turned to who “I” would be without fear and the answer that arose was “more loving”. Many thanks Tara for this teaching.
I would be joyful, playful and less reactive( sensitive) to other people’s comments. Life would be a little less complicated and I would try more activities just for the experience…
Filled with power, much stronger, more peaceful, healthier, abundance in all areas of life … many books published, teaching world wide my work that I have developed
I relate to this topic. I have anxiety, a generalized fear of uncertainty. It is a nuisance and an inhibitor at times to living a happier life. I have done a lot of reading, learned mindfulness and am still building my skills. Tara Brach was one of the first teachers I learned from. I am tackling this topic using a program I recently learned of that deals with anxiety also. There are many similarities between this program and what Tara eludes to in these sessions. Mindfulness is a key component and indeed I find this in practice. I hope you get great interest in the program. I’m sure it will be wonderful. She is such a good teacher. Thank you.
I’d probably be an entrepreneur and climate activist… and i might not be as worried as I am about getting through these recordings before they’re taken down.
thank You dear Tara, this sentence is really opening up new vision, i alike the idea of positive impact of the meeting with fear and exploring what it can bring to a client, this could be helpful with children clients as well
My life would not be paralyzed, anger would not rule me.
My nine year old self would turn to the monster without anger,
with understanding and compassion.
A brand new human with the power of Authentic empowerment. (Forgiveness, free from fear, pure unconditional love for myself and others, and humble like Buddha). I would be disconnected from the desire for external power. My superpower is LOVE.
Thank you for these simple and effective techniques!
I would be interested to learn more about how to help
clients to come back from a dissociated state.
Before covid I was out and about every day. For the past year and a half I have not invited anyone to my house. Without fear I would rely on the vaccines and start to live normally again.
I’d be relaxed with myself in every moment – not worrying about other’s view of me – simply enjoying open hearted connection with who ever that other is.
I will ask (and have asked in a different way) a lovely client I have who is plagued with self doubt and the prison of anxiety. She has never felt loved and even in her marriage is alone. I hope your approach will benefit her and help me help her to a greater degree, help free her from her prison.
Who would I be? I’d be more confident in myself. No longer the frightened rabbit hiding in my burrow, frightened to come out for fear of doing something wrong, or something going wrong and not coping wirh the result. An altogether peaceful, relaxed and happier person.
Confident, relaxed to be me, fun and joyful, my heart would be open, I’d wake up excited about the day, I’d be more engaging with people, I’d form closer friendships, I’d do mote things, I wouldn’t hide away, I wouldn’t be monitoring every moment, I wouldn’t be monitoring others and my own actions….

I would be more loving for myself and others. I would stay more calm more often with acceptance of life for how it is just this moment and i would be able to distinquish my thoughts and fears such as they are without too much fear and then I could /can choose what will i do, think, how to share and love in away, that can be the most bodymindable thing in this moment. When i choose and understand wisely in this moment (thoughts, feelings, bodysensations, environment) i will create the future that i can handle and care.
I’ll be the director of my own private practice. Where I can use all the approaches that I know can help the healing of the people that seek my counsel.
I’ll be a stronger advocate for victims of abuse and neglect. I’ll be questioning all the authorities on why they revictimize the victim for the sake of an investigation; I ‘ll be informing authorities how to do things thinking of the victim to lessen the potential for more trauma.
