Fear is overwhelming sense of failure. Without fear, I would be able to live without overwhelming, worry, depression, and anxiety. I would be able to accept things, I will be able to accept things for how they all her and live life more abundantly.

I could experience the truth of real but not true in myself and what if you believed nothing was wrong with you.? This client t wanted to work on anxiety and I introduced them to ACT. I am going to strategically find a place for using these phrases. Thanks!
I would be at peace, more comfortable and confident in my own skin. I’m a visual artist completing a research masters in fine arts, titled, Drawn to Sound. Exploring drawing and sound in a virtual environment, through practice. I am finding it difficult to complete the written component of the thesis. And struggling with fears of failure and self doubt. These challenges have left me frozen but I am working through, recognising and allowing them and freeing myself. Thanks All the best
I once read that there are only two Emotions; Fear & Love
We either act based out of Fear or out of Love.
So if we could remove FEAR, then we could move forward with such Confidence and without any doubt. We could accomplish or do and anything is possible.
We have to change our Thought Process & our Beliefs.
Perfect Timing that this showed up for me today!
Love this way of stopping the cycle of self doubt and fear, the invisible chains that stop one from really living… From being productive and having the quality life one truly should have…
Nothing would hold me back in life and I would feel a lot lighter. The possibilities would be endless for my future. I would feel more free to follow my intuition as fear wouldn’t cause me to get off track. If you are listening to your intuition, life becomes exactly what it is meant to be because you are following the purpose of your soul.

Who Would Be Without TheThought?
How Would You Feel Without This Thought
I have already responded. Where’d it go? It was full of genuineness. Additionally, I provided high praise to Tara, among my very long time favs, & & appreciation & kudos for NICABM. oh well.
BTW: it is not considered ‘free’ if you have to ‘pay’ in some way; ask ur ‘church’: it becomes a bargain, deal, price…not a gift! In this case it’s the price of providing private, personal information.
*If you are really interested in what viewers/listeners have to say, & u need to ‘vet’ them, why not just ask for name & e-address? The same way you sent the info. Are you gathering data for a study…? Will you share, site and/or publish this info? Aggregate data or not…hope you consider my point.
I’m deeply saddened by this, & the same for others who do this. This field is SACRED! We are humans with FEELINGS, the things that I thought fueled ur desire to help others. I’m part of ‘others’, & this is my reaction to ur ‘gift’. You know better.
My biggest ‘fear, pain, etc’ is TRUST. I barely share anything with anyone, as they ultimately use info as currency in one way or another. Neither are healing for me.
Without fear, I think I would be a very successful author, speaker and coach. The fear of failure and rejection keeps me stuck, hiding and mostly silent, to my tremendous frustration and even greater self-doubt. I love the concept of the fearless heart though, and often work on cultivating mine. I look forward to the recorded exercise!
Great information and so helpful. And what a great question to ponder. I struggle with fear in my daily life, in my work and relationships. As I think a lot of others do as well. This gives me more hope for all of us, for more freedom and joy in our lives. Thank you.
Me, without fear? I don’t know where to begin. Fear has been with me since I was a little kid.
I suspect there’d be
more of a willingness to trust my decisions (while continuing to be open from input from others–including the input from nature)
There’d be a sense of not being loaded down with responsibilities (most are self-assigned) –more of those self-assigned responsibilities would be attended to, rather than stacking up, as things get stacked on our dining room table– It’s very hard to sort out stuff (material & in the mind) when going thru the day carrying the fear that ” I can’t ‘do it’, can’t come up with the right action, attitude; I’m messed up & soon I’ll die failing to UNmess” that this is who I am.
Tara–this video comes at an important point in my life. Thank you.
Thank you Tara. I’ve had intense fear and anxiety off and on for the last two years and more. I have been meditating for nearly four years but feel disappointed in myself for not overcoming this anxiety. My life is in a kind of turmoil with employment problems and I suffer lack of social activity, isolation, and disconnection. The feelings of self doubt are something I try to repress but I’m aware this achieves nothing. Appreciate your work.
Tara Brach has a warmth in her presence that helps guide people to challenge their fears while feeling deeply supported. Kindness is the hallmark of her way of being.
Who would I be if I didn’t believe something was wrong with me? I no longer believe that something is wrong with me. Who I am is the sum and total of all my life experiences.
Hi Tara,
Your kindness, knowledge, insight, embodied experience and ability to connect are deeply moving and inspiring. Without fear, I feel I would be magnificent, powerful, able to hold onto my sense of self and speak with gravitas and confidence, because I have things to share from my embodied experience and I would like to make a bigger contribution.
Thank you, A
thank you

real but not true-radical acceptance of worst belief and physiology that accompanies.
And then allowing the imagination to just consider, what if it weren’t true.
What then? ahhh without feeling too threatened, the possibilities could do flow.
But once perceived…they are in a sense conceived……beautiful.
Who would I be if I believed I was lovable? I would be approachable, connecting more with others, I would be relaxed, finally letting my guard down. i would have more energy…no longer needing so much energy to keep up the pretense of being lovable.
In some ways, I’m grateful for the fears, since they make me sensitive to others’ fear and shame as well. But now, if I could believe I’m good enough, I could be do much more spontaneously loving and giving, not always checking and second guessing myself.
Thank you for this clear and profound teaching
I love thé questions and will use them tomorrow with clients
As always Tara your teachings open my own heart a little further..

Thank you Tara, who would I be if I didn’t think something was wrong with me?
I would be free and I would be a courageous woman who could trust myself.
Who would I be if I did not believe there was something wrong with me. I would be more open and vunerable and trusting in the way I view the world and those I encounter. I would now realize what is not true for me is also not true for the one I am with. A more open and loving relationship where we each be who we truly are and fall in love with the life we live. Thank you for this wonderful pointing. In Loving appreciation for the All in all, I give thanks. Charles Indelight
I would be free to be me and do the things I would love to do without sabotaging myself before I even start. But there is ‘good’ fear too, without which we would make very doubtful and potentially harmful decisions. The point is not to let fear immobilise you, not to let it rule over you, but to rule over it; to have self-mastery.
