I would be free, lighter, at peace, more compassionate and understanding towards myself and others. Thank you for sharing these supportive practices, explanations and powerful heartopening and healing informaton and insights. Namaste
Thank you so much for your loving support I could feel in your teaching! I like the picture of my heart as the ocean. Living in the mountains I long sometimes for the openness of the sea – now I try to find it inside…
Thank you so much for this last part of all the three recordings you have taught. I would be light and free if I let go off all judgement and self blame. I have deep rooted blame judgements and feel pain and hurt. This exercise helped me sit and be present with one of the many painful memories from my past and I was able to comfort myself.
When I am without judgement and blame I am right here, right now and free. When I’m in judgement and/or blame I am in the past or future, crunching on varying degrees of worry or anxiety. So much delight here and now, seems worthy of staying here
Tara I really have enjoyed you over the years. I’ve even meditated w you. I practice mindfulness kindness and compassion often to a fault. I previously sent a message as you requested after listening to your other short video. My husband is cheating on me. He’s shut down ? percent in every single way. He doesn’t and hasn’t even slept w me in our marital bed for 14 months. Way before Covid. Yet, I’m supposed to forgive this? How? It’s cruel after 30 years with me having stuck by him no matter what life threw at him or us. I’m in chronic pain, alone and on disability and am facing a brutal divorce. I’m supposed to look for his leg in a trap? I’d love to know how. I’m the one who needs support, love, compassion- communication if nothing else so I’m not spinning every day trying to figure out Wth to do now at my age. My leg is gnawed off at the knee. He ignores me as I limp around. No he deserves no more.
Thank you for this clear description of a pathway out of the fear I have about getting stuck in the helpless feeling that comes when someone I love seems stuck and unable to come out of suffering .
A “ lightbulb “ came on listening to you Tara and I could sense an opening up to the compassion you describe. Thank you?
I would be living from essence, rather than a place of fear or anger, and self judgement. It is a place of more creativity and aliveness, holds more energy and love.
Thank you for sharing these teachings. These exercises help me to be more compassionate towards my sister who is seriously ill and who refused my help. I have been really wounded by her behaviour but I realised she is in fact very vulnerable and afraid.
I had thought I was healed from a relationship where I had been rejected and abandoned . After this video I realized I was still raw and had more healing to do. I have enrolled in the 6-week program and look forward to the process ahead.
Thank you Tara for the workshop on overcoming the feeling of unworthiness to self-compassion. It does touch my heart and trigger the year-long anger, fear and insecurity towards my partner. I will practise the self-compassion to overcome it for happiness.
I enjoyed all three videos on unworthiness, self-judgment, and compassion. The 3-step exercise was very helpful as was the arrow analogy. The case study of Stephen was helpful in demonstrating Practice #1 & 2. I would be the authentic me if I let go of judgement and chronic blame. Thank you.
Thank you for this exercise. It started to move me to consider self-compassion. I was a bit challenged with the U-turn exercise, but as you stated, this takes time and practice to be able to do this.
Without chronic blame and judgment, I would be so authentic it almost scares me! I would be strong and really resilient, highly intuitive and with great empathy, making connections with my clients.
Thank you Tara. I really would want to listen to this again and again to remember it and use it for myself and with my clients.
Christine, hypnotherapist, Tokyo
Thank you Tara for offering this wonderful message. It’s exactly what I need to hear again and again. To have compassion for myself. And when I do, the anger and resentment I feel towards another starts to diminish and I see and feel the hurt and fear that resides in him. And then I’m not afraid or angry and instead feel the deep love I really have for him. Blessings to you❤️

Thank you! These were the right words, and images, at the right time – beautiful videos! I hope this will help many, especially when so much has happened, and so many have been disconnected from others – and are grieving so many deaths. Thank you for your offering!
What especially struck me was the thought that engaging oneself and others with kindness also works better – and showing understanding, of oneself and others, as steps towards compassion.
The U-turn practice allowed me to see and feel the situation and those feelings brought forth sympathy and sorrow, which in turn produced a caring response. The reactive judgmental response had produced harsh feelings of shame and blame.
The same process happened with my feelings when I saw the vulnerability of the other person in the situation. The feelings changed from harsh to caring.
If I could let go of judgement and chronic blame I would feel very free and open – and it would allow people around me better choices. Relationships would have much more potential.

I am grateful for your generosity in sharing your insights and practices. I was moved by the vulnerability of your hiking story, and the power in your question “Who would I be if I could let go of judgment and blame?” The U-Turn exercise and the ensuing clarifying of feelings, self-compassion and visualization of the other wounded animal in a trap, for me at least, was super useful. Thank you again for taking the time to put together this program.
It is a powerful practice Tara! Thank you so much for your teachings!
May all beings be safe and protected
May all beings be free from fear, blame and anger
May all beings be in peace ?
I would be, and offer to others, a kinder, gentler and more compassionate me.
A beautiful practice to embody and bring into my daily life.
Thank you Tara.

Thank you so much for sharing these three steps. I have done much of this before – understanding where my hurt and woundedness have come from, looking into the woundedness of those who have hurt me, offering forgiveness, etc. But still I struggle with shame/self-blame and experiencing trauma in my body. I’m also not very good at self-care. I’ve worked hard over the years and have accomplished much, but I still have a ways to go. These videos have helped to “pull some things together.” I will definitely try your 3 step process again. And I look forward to hearing about the program you are going to offer; especially since my therapist is retiring and we have not found a successor for him yet. Thanks again for your time and effort in providing this material.
IF I could let go of self-judgment, I would have so much more compassion for myself and others. I like the metaphor of the ocean, where all of who we are have a place of belonging.
Hullo Tara.
Its with gratitude and deep humility that I continue to receive such compassionate wisdom and deeply integrated insights from your teachings .
I honour you and sprinkle gold dust over all the work you do .
