I find that it is easier to let go of blame and offer compassion to some more than others- depending upon what the hurt is related to. Perhaps repetition will be the key!

Thank you so much! I love that you’ve paired back to a simple yet powerful process for shifting from resentment to compassion. The potential ripple effect of each individual’s choice to engage in this shift, offers hope for us to save ourselves as individuals and as a species.
I would feel lighter and it would be easier to be aware of the present moment. I would feel more peaceful and therefore everyone else as well who is around me. It would probably feel safer to be around me.
I would be more giving, interested, tolerant, validating— of both myself and others.
Truly appreciated the U-Turn practice. It filled me with tears when I placed my hand on my heart and told myself it was okay to feel this way.

I have harbored deep resentments from my childhood for much of my life and recently realized that I have been in judgement of these others for years. I had been trying to release it by trying to feel compassion for them yet had to start with having compassion for myself, realizing I never felt loved by them. Now I imagine they loved me in their own way and therefore I could actually be deserving of love after all. Then I could forgive.

I feel some relief from a break up with a person I truely loved . His leg was in a trap . My leg to has been in a trap as an isolated person during Covid . I hunger for that relationship even though I know it is over ! Thanks so much Tara !

I’ve really enjoyed these videos, as I have all the material I’ve seen and read from Dr. Brach. In my experience, shame underlies the challenges of my clients no matter the diagnosis, and has been something I’ve had to contend with in my personal life as well. The methods described by Dr. Brach in these videos address the self-destructive loop of self-judgement and shame in a way that understandable and easy to relay to others. I appreciate the opportunity to watch them.

I feel less lonely and want to cultivate a kinder way of talking to myself. I also want to explore how making a u-turn with others will help me to reconnect with them when the time is right.
Who would I be? I don’t know, I don’t remember if I have ever knew. All that I know for a very long time is anxiety, fear, hurt, anger. Not an easy way of being, but I don’t know any other. I can fake another but not be another.
